What we keep
Your name, email and phone if you add one. If you sign in with Google we get your name, email and profile picture from Google, and nothing else from your Google account. We also keep what you save on Skew (trades, post-mortems, watchlist, settings, Wire messages) and a log of which pages you open and which tickers you grade, so we can see what gets used. We also note which link brought you to Skew (a campaign tag, say) and when you first grade a stock, so we can tell what's working, and the only analytics we run is Vercel's privacy-friendly kind, with no ad trackers. We also keep our own daily totals of page visits. A random id stays in your browser so each visitor counts once a day, and the totals we keep aren't linked to your name or IP address.
Who else handles it
Supabase stores the accounts and data. Vercel hosts the site and runs Vercel Analytics, which counts page views without cookies. Polar handles payments, so your card never reaches us. Resend sends email alerts if you turn them on, and text you give the Grok features goes to xAI. Each of them only gets what it needs for its job. We don't sell your data or use it for ads.
Who can see it
Other members see your name and closed trades on the Leaderboard, plus whatever you send them on the Wire. Everything else is only visible to you and to Skew HQ.
Kids
Skew isn't for anyone under 13, and we don't knowingly keep data about them. If we find some, we delete it.
Getting a copy or deleting it
Ask Skew HQ on the Wire or email ltboyle622@gmail.com and we'll send you a copy of your data, or delete your account and everything tied to it, within 30 days. Payment records stay with Polar for as long as tax law makes them keep them. Backups roll off on their own within a few weeks.
